Liliana Sophia Frey
Lily (aka Lil Frey) entered the world at 11:03pm last night; only 50 minutes after we got to the hospital!! The nurse examined Lisa and said that she was already at 9cm and that an epidural was probably not possible. However, the nurse, Sally, tackled the anesthesiologist in the hallway and made him come in and give Lisa a dose. Well, she got the dose at about 10:35 and it didn’t really kick in. So, that’s as close to natural childbirth as Lisa will ever get! Extremely painful, but fortunately extremely fast!
Here’s the stats:
height: 20 inches
weight: 7 lbs. 5 oz.
hair: medium brown. Not as much as Sydney.
She is a beautiful baby (not that I’m biased) and mom and baby are doing great. Sydney and I just got to the hospital and Sydney just met her new sister and opened some “big sister” presents. (I’m actually writing this post from the hospital room)
I will try to put some pics on here this afternoon during Sydney’s (much needed) nap.
We are obviously extremely excited and blessed to have this addition to our family!
Disneyland
As many of you know, we spent 10 days in L.A. in August. Sydney got to spend two whole days at Disneyland and California Adventure. As I’m sure you can imagine, she loved it! She went on rides (even Space Mountain), ate lunch with the Princesses, ate lots of junk food, got lots of stuff, saw some amazing fireworks and was COMPLETELY spent after two days.
