The man with the bag
Christmas just wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the mall to sit on Santa’s lap.
Reminds me of the year that me, Alex, Steve, Chris Farmer all did that….what were we thinking? I’m sure someone still has a copy of that picture….Anyway, I’ve been getting some grief to update ezprints (see previous post for instructions), so I’ll be doing that in the next day or so; just in time to take a gazillion more pictures next week. Merry Christmas to everyone!

Lily Laughter
We were playing around with Lily today and for some reason she got a real kick out of something Lisa was doing. Check it out, and see if you can contain your laughter!
updated EZprints
Many people have asked for more pictures and it’s a lot easier to dump them on ezprints when I don’t have any writeup or anything. So, here goes:

New York baby!
Most of you probably have heard the latest excitement. If not, here goes. About a month ago, my coworker suggested that I should apply for the game show Power of 10. I completed the application and video and two weeks ago I got a call saying I’d been selected to be a contestant, and could I fly out to New York next weekend for the taping (uhhhh, YES!). I put 5 people on my list of supporters, and after some arm wrestling between Lisa and Nick, the producers chose Lisa. (more…)
Lily’s eating!
We started feeding Lily cereal last weekend; always an entertaining experience. Here are some pics:

Enjoy!
Sydney speaks the truth
This evening Lisa was making bruschetta with goat cheese, basil and mozzerella, sausage bread, and bruschetta with prosciutto and asiago cheese for dinner. Sydney asked for a piece of prosciutto. Right after, I was upstairs folding Lily’s laundry. Sydney sat down in Lily’s rocking chair, paused for a second then uttered the most profound of phrases, “Daddy, that was good pig”. It still makes me giggle!
Lily’s Baptism
We had a great day today. Lily got baptized. We were thrilled to have lots of family come for the occasion: Mike and Mary (who are visiting for the whole week), my mom and Jerry, Lisa’s Aunt Donna, Lisa’s Aunt Marcy, Uncle Bob and 2nd cousins Frank, Steve and Cassidy, Lisa’s Aunt Karen and Uncle Joe and cousins Amanda and Sarah, Nikki’s husband Paul and the proud godparents, Nikki and Jason (Lisa’s cousin). After the service, we headed to Jumer’s for brunch. It was great to see everyone. Enjoy some pics:
Family Portraits
Hello everyone. Last Friday we had an appointment at a portrait studio called Portrait Innovations. Turns out it was actually cheaper than Sears when all was said and done. We got tons of pictures for the money, but more impressively: they GAVE us the CD with all 70 pictures that they took…..non-protected jpeg files no less. Anyway, because they made it easy, I’m able to put some here.

Nikki’s wedding
This past weekend (July 13-15) we traveled to Racine, WI for Nikki’s wedding to Paul Rauwerda. Their wedding was at a bed & breakfast called Lochnaiar Inn. It sits at the top of a hill overlooking Lake Michigan; very nice. We arrived on Friday afternoon. We had the master suite which had two bedrooms and a large sunroom, which turned into the hangout for the many people for the weekend. It was a really nice room with lots of windows also overlooking the lake. The rehearsal was in the evening on the lawn. On the other side of the fence were the multitude of festivities for the Great Midwestern Dragon Boat Race.
The rehearsal dinner was pizza and treats at the inn, where we got several good pics. The wedding was at 2pm on Saturday. It was very casual, as you can see in the pics (link below) which was good because it was quite warm and sunny. Following the ceremony was an outdoor reception with punch and treats. Then the family had a private dinner at the inn.
All in all it was a very pleasant weekend with friends and family. Unfortunately the weekend ended when Chris went to load the car on Sunday morning to find the van’s driver side sliding door window bashed in and all his electronics stolen (iPod, DVD player, GPS, car chargers, movies etc.). So, the innkeeper, and Jerry did great by cleaning out the glass and taping up a Remy Martin Brandy box over the hole so we could drive home (free advertising??)
Here is a link to the pictures. Enjoy!
